Whether you're coaching a youth team or an ambitious amateur squad, you'll find the tools here to make your training more efficient, creative, and successful. From generating complete session plans to organizing your team and analyzing your squad for match day, the MH Soccer Training App is your central command for every aspect of coaching.
This user guide will walk you through all the app's features and sections step by step. You will learn how to:

The Dashboard (Home Screen)
Description:
The Home Screen is your command center, summarizing the most important information and analysis from every part of the app. The more data you enter in other sections, the smarter and more insightful your dashboard becomes.
Cards in Detail:
- Drill of the Day: Serves up a fresh, random drill every day. Use the "Training Session" button to instantly generate a complete session based on it.
- News: Keeps you updated with the latest articles from the
fussballtraining.liwebsite. - Your Coach Level: This key metric calculates a score (0-99) reflecting your coaching performance, based on training attendance, the session quality you assign (star rating), and your match results. Use the "Share Success" button to create a graphic of your level and achievements to share on social media.
- Training Attendance: Provides a quick overview of your team's commitment, including average attendance rate and a Top 5 list of the most dedicated players.
- Match Plan: Displays the key tactical data for your next match, including opponent, formation, and starting lineup.
- Squad Analysis: Delivers a structural analysis of your team, including average age, strongest unit, and most dominant attributes based on player profiles.
Squad Section
Description:
The "Squad" section is the heart of your team management. Here, you manage your players and their training attendance. The section is divided into two main views: the Attendance List and the Training Plan.
The Attendance List:
This is the default view. Use the action bar at the top to select a training day (1-150) and mark each player's attendance by tapping the circle. Here you can also add new players, edit existing ones, and export a PDF of the complete attendance list.
The Training Plan:
Access this view via the "Plan" button. It serves as your training diary. Every session for which you've recorded attendance appears here. Tapping a session allows you to adjust the date, set a focus topic, and give a rating from 1-6 stars. This rating is a key factor in calculating your Coach Level on the dashboard.
Drills Section
Description:
The "Drills" section is your complete library of over 650 drills. Here, you can search for the perfect exercise for your specific needs.
The navigation is structured in three levels: Categories -> Drill List -> Drill Details.
- Drill Categories: First, choose one of the five training phases (e.g., Warm-up, Games to Goal) and then select a specific focus (e.g., "Dribbling," "Counter-pressing").
- Drill Selection: You will see a list of suitable drills. You can load more using the "Load more drills" button.
- Drill Details: In the detail view, you'll find a large diagram and a full description. With the "Share PDF" button, you can create a clean, professional PDF of the drill, ideal for printing or sharing.
Sessions Section (VIP)
Description:
The heart of the app and an exclusive feature for VIP users. This section automates your session planning. With just one click, the app generates a complete, methodologically sound, and unique training session.
Choose one of four training methodologies (e.g., "Turbo-Learning Football") and select a desired focus topic. The app instantly creates a complete session. Not happy with a particular drill? Tap the Reload button (arrow circle icon) to replace it with an alternative.
Finally, you have a choice between two PDF exports:
- "Full": A multi-page PDF with full details for each drill.
- "Compact": A single-page PDF, optimized as a pitch-side reference.
Matches Section
Description:
Your tactical hub for match day. This section consists of the Match Schedule and the Match Plan Generator.
The Match Schedule:
Lists all your created matches chronologically. You can navigate between seasons and see your record (W-D-L) for the current season. Tapping a match opens the Match Plan Generator.
The Match Plan Generator:
Here, you define everything for a match:
- Lineup: Choose a formation and swap players with a click between the pitch, the bench, and the "Unavailable" list.
- Share Lineup Graphic: A new red button located directly on the virtual pitch allows you to generate and share a professional, isometric 3D graphic of your starting lineup with a single tap—perfect for social media or the team's group chat.
- Tactical Instructions: Select illustrated options for pressing, build-up play, attacking patterns, and set pieces.
- Opponent Info: Enter the opponent's strengths, weaknesses, and formation.
The "Share Match Plan" button (VIP) generates a single-page PDF with all the information – perfect for your pre-match team talk.
The Pro Tactic Board: Total Tactical Control
Description:
This is your command centre. The Pro Tactic Board is a dynamic canvas, upgraded with powerful editing tools that let you not only draw your tactics but adapt them on the fly. You can now modify, reshape, and perfect every line and shape after you've drawn it. This is where you map out patterns, design set-piece masterpieces, and make sure every player knows their job. It's about clarity, precision, and control.
The Action Bar: Your Tactical Toolkit
Down at the bottom, you've got your tools. They're built for speed and efficiency. Many have a dual function—a quick tap for one action, a long press for another. Know your tools.
- Move & Edit Mode (Hand Icon): This is your most powerful mode. It's not just for moving things around anymore.
- Reshape Objects: Tap any drawing—an arrow, a box, a line—to select it. You'll see handles appear on its corners and endpoints. Grab these handles and drag them to change the object's size and shape. Stretch a defensive block, or alter the curve of a player's run instantly.
- Change Properties: Need to change the colour of that run to highlight it? Press and hold any drawing to open a menu. Here you can change its colour, thickness, or line style on the spot.
- Draw Mode (Shapes Icon): Tap this to open the drawing toolbar. Select your weapon: a free line, an arrow, a rectangle, an oval, or the new triangle. Draw straight arrows for passes, curved arrows for runs, and wavy lines to show a player dribbling. Full control over colour, thickness, and line style is right there.
- Erase Mode (Bin Icon): A quick tap activates the eraser—just touch any drawing to remove it. Pro Tip: Need a clean slate? Press and hold the bin icon to instantly wipe all drawings from the board.
- Undo / Reset (Back Icon): A quick tap will undo your last action. Made a mistake? Fix it. Press and hold this button to reset all players and the ball to their starting positions *without* erasing your tactical drawings.
- Redo (Redo Icon): Reverses an "Undo" action. Simple as that.
- Export (Share Icon): One tap creates a high-resolution image of your board. Get it straight into the team's group chat or share it with your staff. No more confusion.
The Playbook: Saving Your Tactical Setups
At the top of the board is your playbook. Save unlimited tactical setups here. Press the '+' icon, name your play ('High Press vs. 4-4-2', 'Attacking Corner Routine'), and it's locked in. Switch between your saved tactics instantly during a team talk. To delete a setup, simply press and hold its name. It's clean, fast, and effective.
Tips Section
Description:
The "Tips" section is your go-to library for coaching knowledge. Here you will find an extensive collection of articles on tactics, training theory, athletics, and strategic concepts.
The articles are sorted by topic (Training, Athletics, Tactics, etc.) for easy navigation. A tap opens the full article directly within the app, designed for easy reading on the go and including full-width graphics for clear detail.
Books Section (VIP)
Description:
Another exclusive feature for VIP users. It grants you access to the complete coaching manuals by Martin Hasenpflug as e-books, directly within your app. This is the perfect resource to deepen your understanding of modern coaching methodology and philosophy.
The Integrated PDF Reader:
When you open an e-book, the reader starts automatically. The bottom navigation bar allows you to:
- Use the Arrow Buttons: Turn one page forward or backward.
- Tap the Page Display (e.g., "15 / 158"): Enter a page number to jump directly to it.
- Tap the Document Icon: Jump directly to the table of contents.
- Tap the Close Button (X-Icon): Exit the PDF reader.
Planning Section
Description:
Your strategic front office. Here, you analyze your squad for the upcoming season, identify weaknesses, and plan targeted signings.
The Heatmap Analysis:
The centerpiece is the Performance Heatmap. It visualizes the strength of your squad across different zones of the pitch, from red (critical weakness) to dark green (excellent). Below, a textual analysis provides actionable recommendations (e.g., "More left-footed players needed.").
There is an analysis for the current squad and one for the future squad, which accounts for departures and new signings.
Managing New Signings:
Manage potential new signings, record their details, and mark them as "Done!" once the transfer is confirmed. The future squad analysis even suggests which of your potential signings could fix a specific weakness.
The "Analysis" button (VIP) creates a comprehensive PDF that graphically represents your future squad and lists all transfers – perfect for presenting your strategy to club management.
Main Menu & Settings
Description:
Access the main menu at any time via the menu icon (hamburger icon) in the top right. It provides access to app info, legal notices, and the important app settings.
The Settings Menu:
This is your app's control panel. Here, you configure basic settings and manage your data.
- General: Enter your team and coach name.
- App Behavior: Toggle the "Tip of the Day" on/off, and choose the language and color scheme (Light/Dark/System).
- Data Synchronization (Cloud): Create a Sync ID to keep your data (squad, fixtures, etc.) synchronized across multiple devices.
- Manual Data Backup: Export or import all your app data as a local file.
- Season & Data: "End Season" archives your past season's stats and resets key data like attendance, letting you start fresh.
Social Media Section (VIP)
Description:
Level up your club's presence and create a match day buzz with the Social Media graphics generator. This feature lets you create sharp, professional-looking graphics in seconds. You can access it directly from the Matches section: just tap the share icon on any match to open the graphics creator for that specific fixture.
Features at a Glance:
Once you've set everything up, the app generates a preview. With a single tap, you can save the final image to your device or share it directly to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, or any other platform.
